Peru Woven Wool

I have a 4×6 foot tapestry and want to hang it up. How do I keep it in good shape? It is made of Alpaca wool.
My tapestry comes from the workshop of Maximo Laura, from Peru. It is woven and variably stitched. I am concerned that when I hang it up on a dowel it may not keep its shape. Is there a backing I can use?
Are there people who are professionals in this?
