i want to buy a lcd or plasma tv. i play alot of games and i am going to get a bluray player. what is a good brand. also, is plasma or lcd better. i also want to make my own cabinet to mod it into looking like an old time floor model console tv. can you suggest the best kind of wood and how much the wood would cost. thanks.
You have many questions there, so I’ll just answer one of them. If you want to put an LCD or plasma TV in a wooden cabinet, do not enclose the top. Those sets give off a lot of heat from the top when operating normally, especially the larger screen sizes. You definitely do not want to contain all that heat.
